The Ecchoing Green

In: Antarctica

The sun does arise,
And make happy the skies,
The merry bells ring,
To welcome the spring,
The skylark and thrush,
The birds of the bush,
Sing louder around,
To the bell’s cheerful sound,
While our sports shall be seen,
On the Ecchoing Green.

The Ecchoing Green – William Blake (1789)

The time did arise,
With darkening skies,
We finished the green,
The lettuce I mean,
One last crispy bite,
To get the taste right,
8 more months till the sound,
The first plane comes around,
New supplies to be seen,
No more echo, but green.
